Spreadsheets for Elementary Math Models

The spreadsheets in this collection are referred to as excel files, and they were created using Microsoft's excel program.  However, there are a variety of spreadsheet programs that claim to be able to open xls files.  Although the developers of this collection have not made any organized effort to survey these applications, we have found that LibreOffice Calc does appear to open the files correctly, and preserve most or all of the functionality.  LibreOffice is described by its developers as "... a free and powerful office suite".  It is available from https://www.libreoffice.org.
